Anyways. Back to reality.

Unbelievable. Today is the last day of school! And it’s still cold outside. Where the heck is that global warming? Sure could use some of it here!

Dad is still job hunting, but in this lousy economy it is very slow going. Please keep us in your prayers, that something – anything – will come through soon. Pretty much all of our savings that was supposed to help us move is gone and I don’t know what we’re going to do if he doesn’t get a better paying job soon. His current job pays enough for rent, but that’s about it.

Mom is cooking, cleaning, packing and stressing. That’s it. Well, she’s also reading like crazy. She’s gone through three homeschooling books in about two weeks (see reviews on The Homeschooling Experiment) and she’s reading Atlas Shrugged, too.

Rebekah is fast approaching ten years old. Hard to believe. For her birthday, we’re going to take her to get her ears pierced and then have a family fun day. We asked what she wanted to do, if she wanted a party, and she said no, she wanted to spend the day with the family and maybe invite one friend. The photographer that we like to use for family pictures is advertising for a model 8-9 years old for a shoot next week. I submitted Rebekah’s name in the hopes that I could get a free birthday shoot for her out of it. Wish us luck!

Rose has been having a ball this week. Due to school ending a week earlier than normal (due to state budget cuts), her end of school year schedule turned out interesting. To make sure they had time to finish all their academic work, the first grade teachers decided to move all the parties that would have been spaced out over three or four weeks to the end. That way, if they needed to cancel a party or two to finish the school work, they could. But they got done with everything. So Rose has had a party everyday in school since Friday!

Rebekah and Rose have their ballet recital coming up next week and are super excited. I will be sure to post pictures.

Rachel and Robin have a bit of a cold, so are sleeping a lot. Rachel is her normal mischievous self, otherwise. Robin has outgrown the swing and now spends Mommy’s cleaning time playing in the playpen. It’s amazing how much she’s grown in the last month or two.
